<\/span>\u2728 Thank you, Audrey Berthier!<\/strong> After many years by our side, including 6 years at the helm of the Institute, Audrey Berthier<\/span> <\/span>is passing the baton and preparing to join CNES in early October.
<\/span>Under her leadership, MEDES has consolidated its role as a key player in space medical research, serving both astronauts and healthcare on Earth. We salute her immense professionalism, her dedication to her work and her teams, and the crucial role she played in the growth of our structure. A huge thank you!
<\/span>
<\/span>\ud83d\udcab Welcome, Frederic Hammel!<\/strong> A biologist by training with over 30 years of entrepreneurial experience in the healthcare sector – ranging from biotechnology and medical devices to analytical methods -, Frederic Hammel <\/span>brings his key expertise to MEDES to support ambitious innovation and strategic development projects in healthcare.
<\/span>His dual scientific and managerial background will be a major asset in steering the Institute’s future projects, whether in space medicine, clinical research, or technological developments at the crossroads of health and space.
<\/span>
<\/span>The entire team at MEDES\u00a0<\/span>is delighted to welcome Frederic Hammel <\/span>to write this new chapter together, meet the challenges of future space exploration, and continue pushing the boundaries of medicine!<\/strong>

<\/span>This appointment was proposed by Mr. <\/span>Jean-Fran\u00e7ois LEFEBVRE<\/a><\/span>, President of the GIE (Economic Interest Group) and Director General of the University Hospitals of Toulouse (CHU de Toulouse<\/span><\/a>), and approved by <\/span>MEDES – Institute for Space Medicine and Physiology<\/span><\/a> <\/span>members during the last General Assembly held on June 24th, for an official takeover in early July. Sous sa direction, MEDES a consolid\u00e9 son r\u00f4le d'acteur incontournable de la recherche m\u00e9dicale spatiale, au service des astronautes et de la sant\u00e9 sur Terre. Nous soulignons son immense professionnalisme, son d\u00e9vouement \u00e0 son m\u00e9tier et \u00e0 ses \u00e9quipes et le r\u00f4le crucial qu'elle aura jou\u00e9 dans la croissance de la structure. Bienvenue \u00e0 Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Hammel<\/strong>\u00a0! Biologiste de formation, et fort d'une exp\u00e9rience entrepreneuriale de plus de 30 ans dans le secteur de la sant\u00e9, des biotechnologies aux dispositifs m\u00e9dicaux, en passant par les m\u00e9thodes analytiques, Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Hammel apporte \u00e0 MEDES une expertise pour soutenir des projets ambitieux dans le domaine de l'innovation et du d\u00e9veloppement strat\u00e9gique en sant\u00e9. Sa double comp\u00e9tence scientifique et manag\u00e9riale sera un atout majeur pour piloter les futurs projets de l\u2019institut, qu\u2019il s\u2019agisse de m\u00e9decine spatiale, de recherche clinique ou des d\u00e9veloppements technologiques, au croisement de la sant\u00e9 et du spatial.<\/p>

Cette nomination a \u00e9t\u00e9 propos\u00e9e par M. Lefebvre, pr\u00e9sident du GIE et Directeur de CHU de Toulouse et approuv\u00e9e par les membres de MEDES lors de la derni\u00e8re assembl\u00e9e g\u00e9n\u00e9rale qui s'est tenue le 24 juin (CHU de Toulouse, CNES, CHU d'Angers, Univ Clermont Ferrand, Univ St Etienne, Univ Toulouse, Univ Tours, Univ Bordeaux) pour une prise de fonction d\u00e9but juillet. Audrey Berthier rejoindra le CNES fin septembre.<\/em><\/p>
