This Application Server works under Lotus Domino system. Several options are proposed for I-DISCARE users:
The MEDES server (existing) will be used and the files will be exchanged between this “remoted” server and terminals + dispatching room console via INTERNET. The console and terminals will be seen as client of the server.
The Application Server server (HW and SW) is implemented in the user’s premises and all exchanges between console and terminals will be done without using INTERNET.
The server is existing in the user’s premises, he wants to use this server, the Lotus Domino system will be implemented on this server (NB : this server shall be reachable by Globalstar terminals).
The dispatching Room console.
This console is used:
to display all the data sent by different terminals,
to display the positionning of the actors when sending data, on a map (that shall be implemented on the console). Maps can be provided with the I-DISCARE system if needed.
To send logistic instructions to field actors, if required by users.
